The most romantic places to propose in Boston

February 1, 2023

Summary

You’ve designed your custom engagement ring and now you’re ready to propose! Whether you’re a long time Bostonian or visitor, Boston’s rich history and diverse landscape makes it the perfect place to get engaged.

So many of my clients have chosen this city as the place where they will start a new chapter together, and so this post is to inspire those of you who may need some inspiration after you have the ring and you’re ready to make it official.

Boston Waterfront

Boston Waterfront

Boston’s waterfront area is one of the most scenic routes in the city, filled with colorful gardens, walkways and gorgeous views of Boston and the Harbor. I have had several clients choose spots along the water and every time the photos leave me speechless.

Fan Pier Park

This small but mighty park is situated right alongside Boston's Harborwalk. The park features beautifully landscaped grass with tables, benches and a lookout terrace that would be the perfect spot for a proposal.

Beacon Hill

Beacon Hill is a half mile square that was once the highest point in the city. This charming neighborhood now features narrow brick streets lined with townhouses, boutiques and restaurants. Make it an overnight stay with a stay at The Whitney Hotel, a boutique property with an exceptional restaurant called Peregrine. Did someone say breakfast in bed?

Acorn Street

Acorn Street is in the Beacon Hill neighborhood but deserves to have its’ own feature due to its spot as the #1 most photographed street in the United States. The cobblestone street takes visitors back to colonial time and is truly picture-perfect. Head to The Liberty Hotel’s bar called Clink for a toast (the property used to be an old bank - so chic).

Commonwealth Avenue Mall

This long, narrow street of shade trees connects Boston’s Public Garden to the Back Bay Fens. Although the statues were not a part of the original plan, they are now a prominent part of the mall.

Public Garden

Boston’s Public Garden was the first botanical garden in America, and although that was two centuries ago, the rich Victorian history still remains. The garden features plants, monuments, lagoons and the famous Swan Boats. If you’re in the mood for a restorative couples massage afterwards, head to G20 on Newbury Street - so relaxing!

I would love to help you create the perfect custom engagement ring your partner will love, and connect you with a few great partners who can make your proposal feel effortless. Let’s design something spectacular together!
